Types of personal data collected

Among the Personal Data collected by this Application, either directly or through third parties, there are: Usage Data and Cookies.

Full details on each type of personal data collected are provided in the dedicated sections of this privacy policy or through specific informational texts displayed prior to data collection.

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User or, in the case of Usage Data, collected automatically during use of this Application. Unless otherwise specified, all Data requested by this Application is mandatory. If the User refuses to provide it, it may be impossible for the Application to deliver the Service. Where the Application indicates some Data as optional, Users are free to withhold such Data without any consequence on the availability or functioning of the Service.

Users who are unsure about which Data is mandatory are encouraged to contact the Controller.

Any use of Cookies | or other tracking tools | by this Application or by third-party service providers, unless otherwise stated, serves the purpose of providing the Service requested by the User, in addition to the further purposes described in this document and in the Cookie Policy.

The User assumes responsibility for any Personal Data of third parties obtained, published or shared through this Application and warrants that they have the right to communicate or distribute such data, releasing the Controller from any liability towards third parties.

Methods and place of processing

Methods of processing

The Controller adopts appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, modification or destruction of Personal Data. Processing is carried out using IT and/or telematic tools, with organisational methods and logic strictly related to the stated purposes.

In addition to the Controller, other parties involved in the operation of this Application may have access to the Data (administrative, commercial, marketing, legal or IT staff) as well as third parties (such as technical service providers, postal couriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies), appointed as Data Processors where necessary. An up-to-date list of Processors may always be requested from the Controller.

Place of processing

Data is processed at the Controller’s operating premises and at any other location where the parties involved in processing are situated. For further information, please contact the Controller.

The User has the right to obtain information regarding the legal basis for the transfer of Data outside the European Union or to an international organisation under public international law, such as the UN, as well as the security measures adopted by the Controller to protect that Data.

Legal basis of processing

The Controller processes Personal Data relating to the User where one of the following conditions applies:

  • L’Utente has given consent for one or more specific purposes. Note: in some jurisdictions the Controller may be permitted to process Personal Data without the User’s consent until the User objects (“opt-out”). This does not apply where processing is governed by European data protection law.
  • Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the User and/or the execution of pre-contractual measures.
  • Processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation to which the Controller is subject.
  • Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Controller.
  • Processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or a third party.

It is always possible to request the Controller to clarify the specific legal basis for each processing operation, and in particular to specify whether processing is based on law, provided for by contract or required to enter into a contract.

Retention period

Data is processed and retained for the time required by the purposes for which it was collected. Specifically:

  • Personal Data collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract between the Controller and the User will be retained until the contract has been fully performed.
  • I Dati Personali raccolti per finalità related to the legitimate interest of the Controller will be retained until that interest is satisfied. The User may obtain further information about the legitimate interest pursued by contacting the Controller.

Where processing is based on the User’s consent, the Controller may retain Personal Data for as long as that consent has not been withdrawn. The Controller may also be required to retain Personal Data for a longer period in compliance with a legal obligation or pursuant to an order from an authority.

Upon expiry of the retention period, Personal Data will be deleted. Once that period has elapsed, the right of access, erasure, rectification and the right to data portability can no longer be exercised.

Details on the processing of personal data

Personal Data is collected for the following purposes using the following services:

Infrastructure monitoring

This type of service allows this Application to monitor the use and behaviour of its components, in order to improve performance and functionality, carry out maintenance or troubleshoot issues. The Personal Data processed depends on the characteristics and implementation of these services, which by their nature filter the activity of this Application.

Analytics

The services listed in this section allow the Controller to monitor and analyse traffic data and track User behaviour.

Google Analytics with anonymised IP (Google Inc.)

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses the Personal Data collected to track and examine usage of this Application, compile reports and share them with other Google services. Google may use Personal Data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.

This Google Analytics integration anonymises the IP address. Anonymisation works by truncating Users’ IP addresses within the borders of EU member states or other countries participating in the European Economic Area agreement. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to Google servers and truncated within the United States.

Display of content from external platforms

This type of service allows content hosted on external platforms to be displayed directly on the pages of this Application and interacted with. In the event that such a service is installed, it is possible that, even when Users do not use the service, it may still collect traffic data relating to the pages on which it is installed.

Google Fonts (Google Inc.)

Google Fonts is a font visualisation service managed by Google Inc. that allows this Application to integrate such content within its pages. Personal Data collected: Cookies and Usage Data. Place of processing: USA.

Google Maps widget (Google Inc.)

Google Maps is a map visualisation service managed by Google Inc. that allows this Application to integrate such content within its pages. Personal Data collected: Cookies and Usage Data. Place of processing: USA.

User rights

Users may exercise certain rights with regard to the Data processed by the Controller. In particular, the User has the right to:

  • Withdraw consent at any time. The User may withdraw previously given consent to the processing of their Personal Data.
  • Object to processing of their Data where it is carried out on a legal basis other than consent.
  • Access their Data and receive a copy, as well as information on certain aspects of the processing.
  • Verify and request rectification of their Data, requesting its update or correction.
  • Obtain restriction of processing under certain conditions. In that case the Controller will not process the Data for any purpose other than storage.
  • Obtain erasure or removal of their Personal Data when certain conditions apply.
  • Receive their Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, to have it transferred without hindrance to another controller.
  • Lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority or take legal action.

Details on the right to object

Where Personal Data is processed in the public interest, in the exercise of official authority vested in the Controller, or for the legitimate interests of the Controller, Users have the right to object to such processing on grounds relating to their particular situation.

Users are informed that, where their Data is processed for direct marketing purposes, they may object to such processing without providing any justification.
